Bjorn

This is Ben (formerly known as Bjorn). We were so fortunate to adopt him Dec. 5 2009 from Southpaw Rescue. With every passing day, he has become more comfortable and is now completely at home anywhere in the house or within the fenced-in 6+acres he can access through the pet door. We had no idea what to expect as he adjusted to life outside of confinement, but he has gone from timid and withdrawn to "Let me at it!" in a fairly short period. He is such a beautiful and loving companion and gets along great with our other dog and cat. Someone asked us if it took a lot of "patience" to adopt a dog who was rescued from a puppy mill and all we could say is we feel so fortunate to have Ben in our life. At 4+years old, he is healthy, happy and I believe the awful life he had to live for his first 3 years is a distant and fading memory. He is absolutely adorable and we are so appreciative that Southpaw Rescue helped him find his way to our home. Thank you for Ben and for all the other wonderful animals you are saving. Ava

Life is wonderful for Ava now! She has two sisters that look just like her, her own car seat and lots of love! And just look at the "treat bar". It doesn't get any better than this! So wonderful to see Ava doing so well and being SO happy. Amazing progress!

Angelina

We got to see beautiful Minnie (formerly called Angelina) recently. All we can say is WOW! She is beautiful, happy, loved, and truly enjoying life. This special girl deserves all the happiness she now has!
