Hi! My name is Mandy. I was rescued from a puppymill. I'm not quite sure what to make of everything out here in the real world yet. There is so much I have never seen before and I am still very timid and shy. I am like a brand new being in the world trying to figure out how everything works and I need someone with a lot of love and patience to help me thru this. I am spayed, vaccinated, tested for heartworms, had my teeth cleaned, and I am on monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. I'll need a home with someone who is home more than they are not so that I can learn to trust people more.  I need someone willing to invest the time in helping me to learn that people are good and that I don't have to hide under a table to be safe. If that sounds like you, why don't you fill out an application to adopt me? I sure could use a wonderful forever home! It's lonely under this table and I need someone to help me come out.

Where I came from….

A puppymill was going out of business and selling all their dogs at auction. South Paw Rescue purchased my freedom at the auction held in Missouri. They didn’t want me to get sold to yet another puppymill. Life in the puppymill was AWFUL and I am so grateful that they saved me!

UPDATE: 03/27/2011

Ahhhh, Mandy.....from fearful to funny, from cautious to curious, this sweet little dog is changing by the day! As a puppymill SURVIVOR, she is one special little girl who needs a home that understands where she came from and what she needs. As her foster Momma, I will be looking for just the right home, with children over the age of 10, another small dog for her to play with, and lots of love and attention to lather upon her, as she so deserves! When she first arrived in our home, she barely left her bed, cowering in the corner shaking. Day by day we worked with her, bringing her out amongst our pack of pups to play and interact, and learn that life can be fun, not terrifying! The way to Ms. Mandy's heart is surely through food! This tiny dog would weigh in at 20+ pounds if left to her own devices! However, we've kept her at a modest 7lbs, which is just right for her frame. With her liquid black eyes that melt you, and cold, wet cinder- black nose to match, she will steal your heart the moment you meet her! If you think you are the right family for her, won't you please fill out an application today? Mandy certainly deserves better than the hand life origiinlly dealt her- now that SouthPaw Rescue has changed that life, we want to make sure her new FUR-EVER home is the best she could have ever dreamed of!

UPDATE: 04/03/2011

Mandy's 1st Photo Shoot: As she would say: "I'm the most BEAUTIFUL dog on this earth!". She demanded only PINK M&M's in her dressing room, Beef Snausages, and nothing but FIJI water to drink! Then, after arriving 3 hours late, didn't want to work the camera until I played some of her favoite songs! After a rousing rendition of "Who let the dogs out" and "Beverly Hills Chihuahua", she was FINALLY ready! "What a DIVA!" The above was quoted by my photographer, but what do they know. Sheesh......

I really need some sponsors. If you can help me out and be a sponsor just click on the yellow paypal button or you can also send a check to South Paw Rescue, PO Box 118, Hilham, TN 38568
