We found Maya at a kill shelter, and boy was she happy to come home with us! She sat on my lap, licked my face, thanking me for getting her outta that place..she was skin and bones, and had been on the streets for quite a while, so long that her hair was so matted, they thought it would be cool to give her a mohawk and shave the rest of her! Yuck, she is a girly girl for sure, so a nice bath and trim off the mohawk and she looked like a beautiful naked butterfly baby. We have 3 other paps and 1 large mixed breed, and Maya fit right in, she was so happy to be with a loving family..food, a bed, and toys!!! She LOVES to play with small stuffed animals, and runs to get them and flops them up in the air and catches them and runs around looking at the other dogs, hoping someone will run and play catch with her. She is so much fun to have around, she is wonderful with kids-we have preteens and a toddler-look out if your food is within reach, and you are nowhere to be found though!She has a beautiful coat of hair now, gorgeous eyes that look like someone put eyeliner on her, and one phalene ear..a big bushy tail. And well, she has put on the weight! She knows the sound of the treat jar opening, I need to cut down on her treats...but she is so darn cute. She is a love bug, if you are on the couch, she will get up right next to you and want some love, she loves to rest on the couch, her bed, our bed,or just follow you around. She loves to play with her brother Mulligan, and the two of them love to run around outside and bark at the next door neighbor dog, or squirrels. The vet thinks she is @3yrs old, she is spayed, parasite free and microchipped.She loves to go for walks, does great in the car..and of course she wants to sit on your lap! She is a joy to have and will be so much fun to have as a furever pet..
