This little guy is a gem! Casper is houebroken and is a wonderful little dog. His foster mom just adores him!
Casper is neutered and vaccinated and is free of parasites and is ready for adoption.
Casper is a tiny little guy, and only weighs 5 pounds. We are guessing he is about 3 or 4 years old, but we don't know his exact age. His teeth are in good shape. He is fine with small dogs and cats. Casper should not be in a home with small children. The noise and activity would make him nervous not to mention he could easily be accidentally hurt. Meeting people he is shy and cautious at first but if they will calmly hold him he warms up fast. He is completely housetrained. The hair on his head, chest and legs is more like fuzz and his skin so delicate he would probably need to be protected from sunburn...and he loves to sit in the sun..anything warm he loves. Casper likes to be held so much..he really enjoys a warm lap. He loves to burrow under blankets and pillows so care needs to be taken to see where he is so he doesn't get sat on. He trembles easily from either cold or new things but holding him gives him lots of comfort. He is very sweet and loving. He doesn't like to eat out of bowls or plates. The dry kibble he pulls out of the bowl and puts it on the floor to eat. He is too scared of a plate to eat canned food off it so his foster mom has been hand feeding to make sure he gets some. He is just so adorable she can't resist spoiling him. He likes to go outside and run around and explore when the weather is warm. His favorite toys are the plush stuffed ones. I think if he could tell you the most important thing to him is to be held or snuggled next to his person. He doesn't bark much but he does bark when someone comes in the door. Someone must have taught him to stand on his back legs for treats. He does that with no prompting from us. He comes when he is called...something most of us wish we could teach our own dogs! His foster family says he is much better behaved than their own dogs! This little guy is a gem!
